I was arguing with someone about Israel, and whether or not their attacks on Palestine should be considered terrorism.
I brought up the murder of nearly 1500 Palestinian children by Israel since 2000.
His response?
That Palestinian children “aren’t like normal children” and “lose their innocence early”.
“I acknowledge that it’s an awful, awful thought, but it needs to be brought to the table. I’m not saying that they deserve to be killed, just that it isn’t like the loss of an eight year old here. They’re already helping support the family by eight”
I didn’t think a person’s political view would ever nearly bring me to tears, but apparently it can.
